Take a moment to just settle in. Sitting upright. Positioning the body in a way that feels right for you. Unclenching the jaw. Relaxing the shoulders. Eyes open to a soft gaze. And let's begin to take a few deep breaths. Breathing in for three, and breathing out for three. And now closing the eyes, if you'd like. Noticing that sense of calm and ease in the body. And we'll practice focusing on the five senses. So beginning with sound. What can you hear? Take a moment to become aware of any sounds around you in your space. And then bringing the focus to something that you can smell. Noticing any sense? Could be something very obvious or something a bit more subtle. And just gently paying attention. Not trying too hard to notice. Moving gently to taste. Noticing any taste in the mouth? Again, not forcing anything, just bringing the mouth into focus and noticing what's there.
