- [Voiceover] In every GRE verbal section, there will be one or two questions that are designed to test your logical thinking ability. In this video, I'll talk about how to recognize these questions and introduce you to how they work. Often, logic questions are asked about short passages written specifically to present an argument or a paradox. These are generally short and written clearly and simply. They're usually not hard to understand. Then other logic questions are asked about normal reading passages, so you might find them in a normal set of questions for a passage. The way that you'll recognize you're dealing with a logic question is the way the question is worded. Logic questions will ask you to do one of three general things, strengthen an argument, weaken an argument, or explain a paradox, which is kind of the same thing as resolving a situation that doesn't make sense initially.
