- [Voiceover] Just like for any GRE verbal question, it's a good idea to think about the process of answering a text completion question, because using good methodology will make you faster and more precise. So in this video I'll walk you through my text completion technique and explain why I use it. So we have a simple one blank text completion here. The first thing we probably want to do is just read it and try to get some meaning from it. So step one is going to be get main idea. Now when you read it there's something that might trip you up and it's the blank. The blank kind of takes out a key word, so a good idea is to really focus on the part without the blank. Now when you're getting the main idea it doesn't need to be very precise. You just need an idea really of what's going on here.
