- [Voiceover] So sets are just lists of data, so I'll start off with the easiest concept possible, which is the empty set. As you might guess the empty set has nothing in it. So there's nothing in the empty set, that's just something to get out of the way in terms of vocabulary. And now let's talk about sets and their subsets. So let's say I had a set that was two, four, six and eight. And it actually doesn't matter what order I write that set in. I could write that as four, eight, six, two, and it would be the same set. So one terminology that you have to know is that if I have a subset, so two, six would be a subset of this set. So this is a subset. Kinda makes sense, it's part of it, but not all of it. So a little more terminology for you. If you have the intersection of sets, we use kind of like a frown symbol to designate that. So the intersection is the elements of the sets that are shared.
