- [Voiceover] Another thing we have to deal with in geometry is three dimensional shapes. So let's start with the humble box. So, a box, I'll just draw a kind of a sketch of a box. A box has kind of three dimensions, right. So, it has a length, has a width, and has a height. So let's say that this side of the box is eight, and let's say that the width is four, and let's say the height is five. OK, those are the dimensions we have to think about when we're dealing with a box. We can get the volume of a box pretty easily. It's just the length times the width times the height. That's gonna be our volume. So here we would just multiply the length times the width times the height and we get eight times four, times five. So, that's 32 times five and that looks like it's gonna turn into 160. So, pretty easy. Now, what if we wanted to get the surface area of a box.
