- [Instructor] One thing that almost all data analysts hate is the null value. Unlike a zero, which could indicate zero sales on a day a store is closed or revenue from sending out a free sample, a null value is simply missing. In this movie, I will show you how to manage null values using the If Null and Is Null functions. My sample file is the HandleNulls workbook, and you can find it in the chapter five folder of your exercise files collection. This workbook contains a visualization where I display a list of clients and the number of rooms that they believe that they will need for a conference, and then the room block size. Block size refers to the number of rooms that a client will need to commit to at a time. In other words, we don't want them reserving one room or two rooms at a time.
