Process diagramming
- Monk diagramming techniques. Process diagramming is usually the most intuitive visual paradigm and therefore easiest to master. In this video, we'll walk through the basics, focusing on the goal and the purpose of the diagrams, what they can reveal and what types of decisions and development they facilitate. As an example, we're using the process of starting a lawnmower. Key thing to remember with a process diagram is that you are representing events in time, things that happen and the dependencies between them. For example we must pull the starter cord before beginning to mow the lawn. The nodes are events or tasks or processes, things that happen over time like checking the fuel level or filling the fuel tank. The relationships, the connecting arrows are the dependencies between those events. What must happen before or after.
