Well you've learned how to execute SQL queries that'll allow you to validate all kinds of data. You've also learned how to modify and change data so that you can set up test scenarios. But you haven't only learned how to use SQL to help you with testing, you've also learned some things about SQL that you'll be able to use in directly testing SQL queries. You've learned how transactions work and how to map out a database schema. You've learned how to think about performance testing and database security.
