- [Instructor] DevOps is another term we won't have time to fully get into in this course, but since it's a growing movement, we should think a bit about how exploratory testing fits into it. So in DevOps, the idea is that the development of new code is tightly coupled with the operation of that code in production environments. This leads to a lot of interesting things, but perhaps one that is the most interest to testers is the idea of testing in production. Most of us are used to thinking about testing as something that we do before we release the code to the public, but the idea of testing in production kind of flips that idea on its head a bit, and the things that we can do in production can take a few different forms.
