- By now, you've made more than one SD card for your Raspberry Pi. Normally, the boot folder isn't a place to be messing around but if you're careful, there are handy things you can change. Let's take a look at /boot and config.txt and tricks you can use them for. Hi, I'm Mark Niemann-Ross and welcome to this week's edition of "Raspberry Pi Weekly." Every week we explore the Raspberry Pi and share useful tips. The first thing to know about the boot folder is that when you insert the SD card into your laptop or desktop, you can see and change its contents. For example, you could copy the exercise files into the boot folder. When you boot the Raspberry Pi from that SD card, those changes in the boot folder will be available to you. Now, this is immediately handy as you can copy a file from your desktop computer to the Raspberry Pi just by copying it into /boot. There is a limit to how much you can transfer.…
