Introduction to the Requests library
- [Instructor] Lots of applications exchange data over the Internet, and the Python standard library provides the urllib module to help with this. But using the standard library is often a lot more cumbersome than using one of the most popular third-party HTTP libraries called Requests, which will be the focus of this chapter. So in addition to the basic features of sending and receiving data, the Requests library provides support for things like automatic content decoding and session objects with cookie persistence. There's connection timeouts, and even authentication. So you can find the documentation for the Requests library at this link, and the docs are really pretty good.
