- [Narrator] Before you begin this course, there are a few things you should be aware of. First, it is important to have a basic knowledge of arithmetic and algebra in order to perform the calculations in this course. Next, it will be helpful if you have a basic understanding of some calculus concepts such as derivatives and integrals. In the next video, I will briefly review some key calculus concepts to get you up to speed. Lastly, it will be helpful if you have a good understanding of basic probability concepts since this course will focus more on advanced topics. A basic probability refresher will be provided in chapter one, but if you need a more thorough refresher of these topics, then please check out Eddie Davila's LinkedIn Learning course, Statistics Foundations 2: Probability.
