This distribution works with discrete random variables where the possible values have associated probabilities that are all the same. This means each potential value has the same likelihood of occurring. The discrete uniform distribution is represented by the following probability mass function, where you have the probability of X equal to value X, equal to one divided by N for X in those values of a, a + one, a2, all the way to b. In this case, a is going to be the minimum value and b is going to be the maximum value, and then the value n is equal to the total number of possible outcomes of the random variable represented by that equation. And so you'll see for this, you'll need to make sure that for a and b, this will be where a is less than or equal to b, and where n is equal to b - a + 1.
