- [Instructor] In this video, I will expand upon the concepts you learned with the Bernoulli distribution to show you how the binomial distribution works. The binomial distribution works with discrete random variables where there are only two possible values that are denoted with a 1 for success and a zero for failure. This time though, there can be one or more Bernoulli trials conducted for the experiment. Hence, the focus of this distribution is determining how many successes there are in a defined number of trials. Remember, if there's only one trial, then you will use the Bernoulli distribution since it is much simpler and easier to use. The binomial distribution is represented by the following variables: n represents the total number of trials conducted, p represents the probability of success for a given trial, q represents the probability of failure for a trial, and k represents the number of successes amongst the total number of trials conducted.
