- You might be thinking that harassment is a big company problem, and if you're in a smaller business, you're clear of dealing with this. I challenge you to ask five women you know personally if they've ever experienced sexual harassment and they will all tell you, in fact, they absolutely have. So in addition to my challenge, and any formal harassment training your company offers, I suggest having a more open and emotional discussion about harassment with your team at work. I know that might seem scary because it could bring up emotions, but it will remind employees that harassment is a human problem that requires empathy and caring for each other. Remember that one of the reasons people don't report harassment is because it's an emotional topic. It goes against standard workplace behavior to talk about emotions, they're taboo.
