But that's the thing about Linux, there are many distributions, and there are many applications; choose the one that you like. As an example, cat will allow us to print out the output of a file, but it whizzes past, and you have to use your mouse, as an example, to scroll up and down the file, and that's not always possible, and that's not always possible to do, for example, when you're using a console.
