Insert a chart

- [Instructor] The first way to insert a chart in PowerPoint is to create it directly inside your document. Go to the insert tab and click on chart. Select the chart you wish to create and click okay. PowerPoint inserts a chart with some dummy data along with an Excel spreadsheet. You can type in your data and adjust it. Once you're done, simply close the spreadsheet and your chart will adjust. Click on the plus sign to add or remove elements. Click on the paintbrush to adjust the colors and style, and click on the funnel icon to filter data. Click apply and your adjustment is added. At any point, adjust your data by clicking on chart design and then edit data. You can also change the chart by clicking on change chart type. We'll select a different type of chart, clustered column for example, and click okay.
