- [Instructor] Logistic regression lets us make predictions for the probability that an event occurs. It's a common algorithm for activities like gaming, sports, and fraud detection. In Power BI, let's use a theoretical virtual basketball arcade game as a logistic regression example. Let's first visualize our model using a scatter plot. The dependent variable we're measuring is whether or not they win each game. In the actual field, ones represent wins and zeros represent losses. We'll put this field on the y axis. We'll use the point scored as the independent variable for predicting whether they win each game. We'll put this field on the x axis. To display all the data points in the model, let's add the game ID to the values. In the analytics pane, we can then add a trend line.
