- [Instructor] We can add markers to different charts or features within Power BI, like scatter plots, line charts and built-in anomaly detection algorithms. Marker formatting options that we can choose between include marker shapes, fill and border colors and rotation. In Power BI desktop, rather than showing all the possible visuals that we can add markers to, let's explore some of my favorite approaches for using them. I already created a few line chart examples that I'm going to add markers to. The first is the line chart illustrating the hourly electricity generation trends over a week long time period. We can see that solar power peaks in the middle of the day, and we can see other energy sources displayed as separate lines as well in the same chart for wind and other power. We see the lines separate based on the category in the legend field.
