Redefining objections
- Do you hate objections? I used to. It's natural to shy away from uncomfortable situations, questions, and conversations. Unless, of course, you are willing to embrace that true power that objections possess. The time has come for an attitude shift regarding the word objection into, instead, think of them as opportunities. This might sound harsh, but if it weren't for objections, you'd be out of a job. Think about it. If it was so obvious to every donor why they should give to your cause, and they did so freely and without hesitation, there would literally be no need for fundraisers. The problem with the word objection is that it brings to mind some sort of clash in which someone wins and someone loses. An objection is not the same as no.
