This strategy provides a safety net for leadership, allowing them to visualize the potential benefits without feeling cornered into making a major decision. Here are a couple of examples. One, use non-threatening what-if questions. What if there was a way to increase our client retention by adding prepayment incentives that can boost our balance sheet? We could test this with a small client segment. Two, position your innovative idea as a trial or experiment. How about we beta test this new approach for a couple of weeks with a small group, and then we assess the results? If it doesn't work, we still gain useful data.
