Segment routing over LDP interworking

- [Instructor] In this lesson, we will explore Segment Routing or SR over LDP interworking using a six-router network. We will discuss two conditions, one for a prefix in the SR domain and one for a prefix in the LDP domain. Let's start with the network topology. R1 is an SR-only router. R2 is an SRL/DP router. R3 is an LDP-only router. R4 is an SRL/DP router. R5 and R6 are SR-only routers. All SR routers use the default SRGB range, from 16000-23999. Condition 1: Prefix in the SR domain, 1.1.1.6/32. Let's consider the 1.1.1.6/32 prefix, which is connected to R6, an SR-only router. R6 assigns Index 6 to the prefix 1.1.1.6/32, making its prefix SID 16006. All SR routers in the domain, such as R1, R2, R4, and R5, learn the Index 6 through IGP and use it to forward traffic two vault 1.1.1.6/32. At the same time, since R4 supports both SR and LDP, it chooses an LDP label for this prefix. R4 assigns LDP Label 400 for 1.1.1.6/32 and advertises it to R3, R3, LDP-only, assigns LDP Label 300…
