- [Instructor] Let's talk about how to get Appium set up on your computer. We'll look at installing the Appium server itself soon, but first we need to do some extra system set up. For Appium to be able to work with mobile platforms like iOS and Android, the basic system requirements are the same as for iOS or Android app development. Since iOS development requires a computer running macOS, we'll be using a Mac throughout this course. Appium also works on Windows and Linux, but the set up instructions for those platforms is a bit different, so please consult the Appium documentation if you're on one of those platforms as you follow along. Let's start with iOS-related set up. First off, I'll assume you already have Xcode installed on your machine.
