- [Instructor] When you decide you need a SharePoint team site, go to SharePoint and wherever you are in SharePoint simply click this link here that says SharePoint, that takes you to SharePoint home, yourdomain.sharepoint.com and you'll see a link here at the top of the sites list that says Create Site. When you click, you'll find there are two types of sites that you can create. If you wanted to create a site that's primary purpose would be to share information. You probably want a communication site. And a communication site is a fine thing for a team to have. It gives them a way to share their information, their deliverables, or results with the entire organization. If you're creating a space though that is similar to what you might create in Teams, a space for collaboration, for document sharing, for task management, then you don't want a communication site, you want a team site.
