Understanding the Directory services in Azure
- There are three main directory services that you should know about before taking the AC 900 exam. The first one is Azure Active Directory or Azure ad. Azure AD is Microsoft's cloud-based entity and access management service. It allows you to sign in an access both Microsoft Cloud applications and cloud applications that you develop. The main features of Azure Active Directory are authentication single sign on application and device management and finally, business to Customer Identity Services. The second one is Azure AD Connect. It's goal is to synchronize user identities between an on-premises active directory and Azure active directory. Finally, Azure AD domain services which provides managed domain services and features such as domain join group policy, Cerberus.
