Options and tools for moving files in Azure
- [Instructor] There are three main tools for moving files in Azure that you need to remember when taking the AZ-900 exam. The first one is Azure File Sync. Azure File Sync is an agent that enables data on a window server to be synchronized with an Azure file share. It supports different protocols available on window server to access your data locally such as SMB, NFS and FTPS. You don't actually need to go deeper than that. Just remember that this is an agent that allows you to synchronize your on-premises data to an Azure file share. The second tool is AZ copy. This is a command line interface tool that we can use to copy data to any storage account and do some other things such as moving data, or listing the data in the storage account, and so on. So, here in this video, I'm going to show you how to copy this file, which is a picture of my dog, the name is beagle-small.jpg. I'm going to copy this from my local folder…
