So it allows users to install, update, and manage software packages on their Linux systems efficiently. So in this video, we will go through package management tools and commands used in Linux distributions. So the first one we'll go through is apt, A-P-T, which is Advanced Package Tool, and that is Debian-based distributions like Ubuntu. And some common commands that are used in that distribution are sudo apt update. Now of course, I am putting down sudo for those who do not have root access and are authorized to run root-level commands. So you will have to use S-U-D-O, sudo apt update. And this command updates the list of available packages and their versions, but does not install or upgrade any packages.
