Get process information graphically
- [Instructor] You can monitor processes and other system resources graphically with a tool called GNOME System Monitor. You can run this by going into overview mode and typing in system monitor. GNOME Monitor has three tabs, processes, resources and file systems. The processes tab shows running processes on the system. If you want to end a process, you can just click on one and then click the end process button in the bottom left corner of the window. You can also carry out some of the functions of the top command. By right clicking on a process in the list you can kill the processor, change its priority. You can also get process information by choosing the properties menu item. The process properties dialogue shows the status who ran the process, memory usage, CPU usage the nice level and the process ID.
