- [Instructor] iSCSI to make local storage available to a remote machine. So the server is called the target and use the targetcli command. And this is a powerful technique and when you buy big storage arrays, this is the model that you'll use. Like if you have big storage from, say Pure Storage, then they're making storage available to your server similar to this, but you can set up your own server to be the iSCSI server. So to do that you need to install the targetcli command and you want to run the target service and then you'll run targetcli to create the various pieces, including associating the storage device with a LUN, which the client will need to identify what storage they want to use. And then eventually on the client, it's going to show up as a SCSI disk and they can format it and mount it and all that usual disk stuff that you do. So one of the steps in targetcli is creating a block device and you pick a name like your block7 and you say what device that is. In this case…
