Log to a remote logging server

- [Presenter] Rsyslog has the ability to log messages to a remote log server. This can be handy as all messages can be aggregated to a central logging server from various hosts. The change from using a static file for an action to a remote server is quite easy using rsyslog basic format. To set this up, you'll need two Enterprise Linux virtual machines. If you have a second VM from one of my other courses, then use it, but if not, it only takes a second to make one. First shut down your rhhost1 VM if it's running. Once it's shut down, go to the virtual box manager window. Right click on rhhost1 and select Clone. Change the name to rhhost2, and then for MAC address policy, select Generate new MAC addresses for all network adapters and click on Next. Now click on Linked clone as it will finish faster and then click on Finish. Now start up your rhhost2 VM. Once it has booted up, log in as user1 and use the same password as rhhost1.
