Let's first anticipate what questions they might ask about the sales data. What are your guesses? My first would be, how do we do this month? My second guess would be around, is that better or worse than forecast? And third would be how do we do relative to the last months? Then maybe they'll ask 'em why questions? Why do we do well or not so well? And what's driving this particular result? You can use a simple prompt like, analyze this data set to identify the top three most significant trends. For each trend, describe the observed pattern. You can also ask to segment the data with prompts like, segment the data into distinct groups based on observable trends. Describe the characteristics of each group and any potential explanations for the observed segmentation. Alternatively, if you have done this type of analysis before and already have concrete steps you want to follow, you can describe precisely how you want the data to be analyzed.
