- So, yeah, one of the coolest things about data science is that it's really powerful, and today we have an opportunity to really use data science for good. So for example, in my role at Patagonia, I'm on the product responsibility team, and what I focus on is identifying and quantifying the environmental impacts of everything that we do to produce our product. And data science has a really key role in shedding light on the carbon emissions or the water usage, or toxicity of what we do, and without it, we would be kind of flying blind.
