- [Instructor] Ubuntu Desktop comes with a nice selection of software to get us started, but chances are we'll want to install new programs at some point, too. Let's take a look at how to do that. I'll open up the Activities screen and search for the term software. And here's an app with an icon that looks like a shopping bag named Ubuntu Software. This is an application that lets us browse for software to install. I'll click it to open it. Across the top bar here are a couple of buttons that let us sort our view. The application starts in the Explore view, but we can also click to see Installed software, or we can see whether there are Updates available for software we've installed previously. I'll go back to the Explore section. If I scroll down, I can see that the software is organized into Categories. Or, using this magnifying glass icon in the top left, we can search for software if we already know its name.…
