- [Instructor] If the PowerPoint tools and features needed are not available in the web app and the desktop app is installed on your device you can switch from the web app to the desktop app. With a presentation file open in the web app, we're going to go ahead and select this pencil icon. This is the Mode Menu Editing command. This is where, if you open a file and it's only set to Viewing and you can't make changes, you can switch it to Editing mode. And it's also where we can switch from the web app to the desktop app. So let's go ahead and select Open in Desktop App. Now you'll see that we have a couple of prompts here. Within my browser it's asking if I always want to use this to open links. I don't have to check that, I'm going to go ahead and simply select Open for now. You notice that it's opening Microsoft 365.
