- [Presenter] An object in PowerPoint is any selected image, text box, or shape. If you can select something, it's an object. Let's take this slide, for example. And remember this shape? I can select it, so it's an object. I have a slide here about catering, and I went to insert pictures, stock images, and I searched for "food" and found these three images that are now dumped on the slide. I'd like to arrange these so they look nice on this slide. I can start by resizing the images. These are nice cupcakes. Let's get those in the back. I'll resize them so that we can obviously read the text. Now, if I resize this image, this is in the background, I like these teacups. I don't like the picture of the pasta so much. I'd like to put that in the background, so I can change the order of these objects.
