Multiple regression using Minitab
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll show you how to do multiple regression using Minitab. Open exercise file 05_07. We have data on speed, driver reaction time, and stopping distance, and we want to do a regression of the first two variables on stopping distance. To do that, go up the Stat, Regression, Regression, Fit Regression Model... The response is Stopping Distance and we have two continuous predictors, Speed and Driver Reaction Time, and we have no categorical predictors, so leave that blank. Let's go to Graphs... I'd like to choose all these graphs, all four, so choose Four in one for the residual plots. OK and OK. Let's see the Output window in full. Here we have it. The regression equation as seen here showing stopping distance as a function of speed and driver reaction time. The coefficients are shown and we can see that the P-values for the constant and the coefficients are all significant at 0.000 for the P-value. The model summary shows R-squared values at more than 99%…
