- [Instructor] In this movie, I will show you how to create time series plots using Minitab. Open exercise file 02_07_timeseries. What we have here is US retail gas prices over the years from 1994 to 2015, as well as for the three regions, East Coast, West Coast, and the Midwest. I want to plot to see how gas prices have trended over the years, both nationally and from coast to coast. To do that, we'll use time series plots. Go up to Graph, Time Series, way down here. Simple. OK. And that's plotting national gas prices Time scale is the stamp on column C1. OK and OK. And then you have it, a time series plot nationally from 1994 to 2015. If my follow up question is, How does this differ from region to region and how did it compare against the national gas prices?" To do that, we can have a plot of the national gas prices as well as the three regions, and showcase these four times series plots on one graph. To do that, go to Graph, Time Series Plot.
