- [Narrator] If you have a lot of existing data to add to your database, I'll assume that you would rather not have to type it all in again. Management Studio includes a wizard that'll walk you through the process of importing an external data file to your SQL Server database. The wizard will create the table structure and all of the columns and bring in all of the data in a single process. You can find it by right-clicking on the database itself, pointing to Tasks and then come down and click on Import Flat File. The first screen will describe what this wizard does and the steps that we're about to move through. When you're ready, press the Next button. Then we need to locate the file that we want to import.
