Content recall activities
- Remember the dread you felt when your professor would announce a pop quiz? Well, it turns out your professor was actually doing you a favor. Research indicates that people learn content better when forced to recall the content rather than rereading or re-studying the content. Having learners recall content on a quiz, in a mobile app, or in a workshop setting is an effective way to help reinforce content. If you're a professor, one obvious recall activity is to provide a quiz to students at the beginning of every class period, forcing them to recall content from the last class period. This is a good technique. In some corporate or even academic settings, you might have apps or other tools available to you to create something like a Question of the Day. This would be a one question quiz that could be sent over an app or via email where you ask the learners to recall a little bit of information every day to answer your question.
