- [Instructor] Annotating cells in Excel Online can be achieved in one of two ways, notes and comments. For this movie, let's take a look at cell notes. Have Excel Access open to follow along with me. Notes are a neat feature, as they let you keep track of important bits of information or identify when something needs to be followed up. So for example, if we're concerned about the profit figure for company DEF here, we can go ahead and select this cell, right-click it, and then select the option New Note, and then type in some relevant text, such as, "Follow up low profit result". You'll notice the name of the account that I'm using, that is, Laura Davis, has been prepopulated above the note. You should see the name of the account that you're using appear if you are following along with me. Now, if we want this comment to stay visible, even when we've clicked away from the cell, all we need to do is right-click on the cell…
