- [Instructor] By now, you should be feeling pretty comfortable with how to use Excel online at home. But let's take a look at another practical example, budgeting for a vacation. The exercise file here called Excel Vacation has already had some preparatory work done. The purpose of this spreadsheet is to calculate an estimated total cost for a vacation abroad. So let's say that we are planning the vacation for yourself and three other friends or family members. It can be a hell of a lot of work to do this alone. So we're going to collaborate. Let's just start with four expenditure items, that being flights, accommodation, meals, and lastly Visa application. You can always add to this over time. I'm going to make myself responsible for estimating the cost of flights, and perhaps I should also be responsible for the Visa application.
