- [Instructor] With Excel Online, you can take basic data and transform it into something that's both interactive and powerful. If you'd like to follow along with me then make sure you have Excel Customer Data open. Now, this data on its own, it doesn't look very engaging. However, in just a few simple steps, we can transform it into something that's both meaningful and engaging. For example, if we go ahead and select the header here and then under the home menu, click on the dropdown box next to Fill Color. We can go ahead and select a different fill color such as say dark blue. And with these cells still selected, let's click on the dropdown box next to font color, and select a different color such as white, this makes the text stand out a little bit more easily now. And with the cells still selected, let's click on the B icon here, which makes the text bold, and stand out even more, and we can even select the dropdown box next to the font size, and change it to say 14 pixels. This makes the text even larger. The other thing that we may wish to do here is change our data format to comma format without any decimal places, and I'm talking specifically about column E here. I find that the easiest way to change the number format is to select the entire column, that is column E. And then under the number format here, let's just select the comma icon to apply the comma number format, and then decrease the decimal twice, which means that the data will be displaying zero decimal places. It makes it much easier to read now. Okay, why not take the time to play around with some other exciting Excel Online menu options, and see how you go.
