- [Narrator] We have talked about our application running on IoT devices in field and networks that may be across a long distance, can handle any data transmitted via an end-to-end connection. This end-to-end connection is logical and the data transferred through that connection may be physically transferred through the network and computing devices edge-to-edge and the cloud. Therefore, we can do something between the two ends. And doing some computing at the network edge is once of them, where it can bring some new solutions to an IoT system. Edge computing basically means the computing at the edge of the network from the IT infrastructure's perspective. The similar far-computing concept depicts such concept in a way that it has a shorter distance to the field IoT devices in the network hierarchy than the cloud.
