- Normalizing is the process of making audio volume levels very consistent. And if someone is using a mobile device, this is increasingly important. When you're wearing ear buds, it's really annoying when the voice gets quiet, and then suddenly quite loud. It can be very startling, in fact. And the user, rather than sitting there, riding the volume control on their device, is more likely to just skip. Plus it's really annoying, as you're watching a bunch of content, to have the volume constantly go up and down. Now, if you have somebody professionally recording this, it's less likely to happen. But, a lot of times, there's variation. Maybe somebody turns away from the mic. Or they just simply drop their energy level, as the interview goes on. Well, it's okay, there are tools to fix this.
