- At this point in our data strategy creation, we've defined and evaluated the current state of data management for us. In this course, we're assessing our example company, Globe Bank Online. Now that we have the basic state of data management sorted, let's continue our maturity assessment to identify strengths and weaknesses within the existing data practices. Let's start by gathering the scores together. In this example, we will use a simple Excel document to compile the scores by department. Adding conditional formatting to this tabular data can be an excellent way of highlighting any particular areas of strength or weaknesses at a glance. In this example, I have used green to highlight strength and red to highlight weakness for the first time. This is giving us a holistic look at data management practices across the Globe Bank Online business from the perspective of each department and key business stakeholders in the respective departments.
