- [Instructor] Here in Google Chrome, you see permissions for the Amazon website. Chrome, as well as other browsers, provide these settings to prevent unauthorized access to your computer's hardware. For this specific site, these are the permissions I grant for these items. Each one has three choices: ask, which is the default and displays a prompt on the screen; allow, which always allows access to the hardware; and block, which never allows nor does it show a prompt. And you can see the items that I've set here. So I've blocked the camera, I could also block the microphone, which prevents the site from accessing this hardware while I'm using it. To view these options in Chrome, click the menu icon and choose settings, privacy and security, and site settings. Recent activity shows permissions, items that I've set recently.
