- [Instructor] So you want to learn JavaScript. Maybe you came from another coding language and want to expand your repertoire, maybe you want to brush up on your JavaScript skills, or maybe you find yourself chest deep in Legacy Code and need to untangle the idiosyncrasies of navigating the intersection between HTML and CSS and JavaScript to get something working right now. Whatever cause brought you to this course, I welcome you. In the following movies, I'll guide you on a hands-on journey through some of the core principles and practices of modern JavaScript, from how to modify existing code and work with component-based scripts, through how to build your own custom features, to how to interact with external data sources and APIs. Fair warning as we head out, this course is not for beginners. It assumes you have a solid understanding of HTML and CSS and that you're familiar with coding languages in general and want to build your JavaScript skills. That said, if you're a beginner and you're ready to challenge yourself and explore the power JavaScript has to offer, you're welcome to join me. JavaScript gives you the power to do pretty much anything you want on the web and I'm here to show you how to get it right. So let's get crackin'!
