Targeting, messaging, and frequency
- As you start selling, it's often your approach that can really help you increase the likelihood of someone saying yes to working with you. So you want to approach your prospects with a few things in mind, which I break down into targeting, messaging, and frequency. Let's talk about each of them. Targeting focuses on who you're talking to. The better you understand who is most likely to want your help, the easier it is to target people like them for your conversations. If you were selling wedding photography services, you wouldn't spend much time talking to someone who's already married, right? That's an extreme example, but the point is you want to understand who that person is, whether it's as simple as women who are engaged, or more complex, like women who are engaged, and planning destination weddings.
