- [Instructor] The first rule of setting up security in your FileMaker apps is that everyone who accesses your FileMaker custom app should require their own username and password combination. Those get set up under the FileMaker manage security dialogue. And you'll see here that we actually call these accounts and passwords. And the other thing that you'll notice is that you cannot set up an account until you have a privilege set. So before you start setting up combinations of account names and passwords, you're going to need to make sure that you've set up all the privilege sets in your application first. Privilege sets are the user groups and the accounts represent each user. So again, every user should have their own account.
