Two data sets
We've got inventories from two different places. The store sent us their inventory of paints. You see those in columns B, C, and D, and then the warehouse sent their data in, you see that in G through J. Now, let's say that my ultimate goal is to get the total count by color and size. But notice this, we have Cherry 3.5 in 3 different places. I just want to see one Cherry 3.5. But the goal here is how do we get this stacked up? We're going to use the Append feature in Power Query. What you need to know to make an Append work -- here, I got to take my glasses off because I'm getting serious. I wish you could see that. Notice that the warehouse has a brand column. Does that matter? No. Not for what we're about to do. Notice that the columns are not in the same order. We've got color and then size over in the store inventory, and then we've got size and then color in the warehouse inventory. What is critical is that they are named the same thing, and that will allow Append to match up…
